Emil Galle was one of the leading French Glassmakers.
This video shows a wide range of his stunning work.
Emil was a leading maker of Pate de Verre Glass (lots of examples here) and stunning lamps with hidden and visible landscapes built into them
The video begins with a lovely picture of Emil Galle and his Glassworks and then shows you many of his fabulous creations.
Edward the VIIth was given this cigarette case with a snake biting its tail (The Ouobouros ) by his mistress Mrs Keppel.
Mrs Keppel was also the great, great grandmother of Camilla Parker-Bowles - now the Duchess of Cornwall
Interesting story about how the case was given but I could not possibly comment...

This Video shows the Neptune Jar by Daum (including the signature)
Recognising real Daum Signatures is really important when considering buying glass - especially expensive glass.
On this particular Jar the two pieces of damage to the handle would seriously lessen the value of the piece.
